Description: A cone-shaped flower seen from the front with a curving stem and two tapered leaves, one on each side.

Also known as: tulip; jonquil.

Description of difference: Flowers in Group A have a stem with two bends, similar to that in Groups B, D, and E. The leaves are tear-shaped with a slight curve, in contrast to the pronounced curved shape in the leaves in Group B. The leaves do not touch the base of the flower. Flowers in Groups A, B, and E are centered on a chain line.
